Welcome Safely – National Tourism Health & Safety Platform

A comprehensive digital ecosystem designed for the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism to standardize and certify health safety protocols across the national tourism sector. Developed in collaboration with Bureau Veritas and Wellhospitality, the platform serves as a centralized hub for tourist accommodation establishments (EHT) to align with international hygiene standards.

  • Integrated Compliance Flow: Features a structured four-step path—Auto-Evaluation, Staff Training, Progress Monitoring (Cockpit), and Final Labeling—to guide establishments toward official certification.

  • Multilingual Training Hub: Provides 41 specialized training modules in French and Arabic, covering 29 distinct roles across six professional families, including reception, catering, and wellness.

  • Data-Driven Dashboards: Utilizes interactive doughnut charts and "learning paths" to visualize compliance levels across categories like barrier gestures, internal communication, and general hygiene principles.

  • Establishment Management: Includes a robust registration system that captures detailed metadata for various types of facilities, from luxury hotels to rural camping sites, ensuring tailored safety requirements.

Problem vs. Solution

The Problem

The global pandemic caused a total standstill in Moroccan tourism, leading to a massive loss of traveler confidence and a lack of standardized hygiene protocols. Establishments lacked a clear, unified framework to demonstrate their commitment to health safety, making it difficult for both domestic and international tourists to identify "safe" destinations.

The Solution

The Welcome Safely platform was designed to bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and practical field implementation:

  • The Problem: Inconsistent hygiene practices across diverse hospitality roles.

  • The Solution: A modular training system that provides role-specific "micro-learning," ensuring every staff member—from barmen to housekeepers—understands and applies the exact same sanitary standards.

  • The Problem: Difficulty in monitoring national-level compliance.

  • The Solution: A real-time "Cockpit" dashboard that allows both individual managers and ministry administrators to track training progress and audit readiness through automated data visualization.

  • The Problem: Lack of a recognizable trust signal for travelers.

  • The Solution: A formal certification process (the "Welcome Safely" label) that establishments earn only after rigorous self-diagnosis and third-party audits, providing a visible guarantee of safety.
